The green parts printed by stainless steel filaments are usually debinded by oxalic acid debinder. The function of debinder is to remove most of the binder polymers from as-printed green part.
In order to obtain final metal parts, sintering process is compulsory and critical. Through sintering, remaining binder polymers are the first to be removed at moderate heating temperature.
The debinded brown parts are usually sintered under the conditions of high temperature, high vacuum or protective atmosphere, and the internal metallurgy combines and shrinks to obtain compact and excellent products.
The green parts printed by oxidized ceramic materials (such as zirconia, alumina, etc.) are often sintered by the 1700℃ muffle furnace to obtain the final compact ceramic parts.
